A garden at a Lord of the Lawns project, showing the house, hedging and borders above a newly laid lawn

For every summer after this one

We are landscapers in Devon. Garden design, patios, stonework, driveways, fencing and full garden builds, dug out and built by the people who quoted them.

Most people spend more time looking at their garden than being in it.

Usually because there is nowhere comfortable to sit, the ground is uneven, or half of it turns to mud in October. That is a building problem before it is a planting one.

You will be dealing with Graham

Lord of the Lawns is a small Devon firm, not a national outfit with a call centre. Graham comes out and prices the job, Graham is on site while it is being built, and Graham is who you ring if something is not right.

It also means we take on a sensible number of jobs at a time. If we are booked up we will tell you, rather than start your garden and disappear for three weeks.

The Process

How it works

No obligation at any point, and no charge for the visit or the quote.

01.

Tell us what you are thinking

A rough idea is plenty to start with. Photos of the space help a lot, and WhatsApp is usually the easiest way to send them.

02.

We come and look

There is no substitute for standing in a garden. We look at the levels, the access, the drainage and what the ground is actually like, because those are what decide whether a plan is realistic.

03.

A plan and a fixed price

You get a clear plan and a price that does not move. If something unexpected comes out of the ground we tell you before we do anything about it, not afterwards.

04.

We build it

The same team from start to finish. We keep the site tidy at the end of every day, because you still have to live there while the work is going on.

05.

We walk it with you

Before we call a garden finished we go round it with you. Anything that is not right gets put right.
